Cook & Eat


The Cook & Eat group gets together every 4-6 weeks to cook a 3-course meal and then enjoy the fruits of their efforts, generally with a glass or two of wine, all in good camaraderie. We meet in a member’s home; the hostess decides on the menu, does the shopping (costs are split amongst the participants) and runs the ‘cooking class’.

For the 2017-18 year, hosting duties are being shared by Caroline, Orla and Denise. Caroline is a ‘cordon bleu’ chef and proposes classic French cuisine, Orla’s meals are based on modern cuisine, Denise prepares ‘cuisines du monde’-inspired vegetarian meals.

September 6: Sicilian theme (Denise)
November 8: Autumn Produce (Denise)
December 7: Joy of Cooking theme (Caroline)
January 24: Indian theme (Denise)
February/March : Classic French (Caroline)
April : Spring theme (Orla)
May : Mexican Cinco de Mayo party (Denise)

All events take place in the morning and end with the lunch, except for the May event; this will be an afternoon cooking session for a dinner party (partners invited) in the evening.
