FAWCO

Please welcome Kim as the new FAWCO Rep for our club. She takes over this role from Linda

L, who nonetheless continues as the regional rep of FAWCO. Linda submitted the following background information on FAWCO.

What is FAWCO? Our founder Dora T, introduced AWG L-R to FAWCO right when she started our club here in Montpellier.

But what is FAWCO? To make it really simple, when you join a gym or any other association in France, you become a part of its federation. The same thing happens when you paid your annual dues to join AWG. You are now a part of a really big federation---called FAWCO---the Federation of American Women’s Clubs Overseas. We are an umbrella network with a combined membership of over 15,000 individuals, linking clubs in 38 countries. FAWCO is the oldest and largest American NGO abroad.

As a member of AWG, you are automatically a member of FAWCO. Registering on the web-site is FREE, and once you have done that, it is easy to subscribe to FAWCO's newsletters and informative bulletins, which will then be delivered automatically to your mailbox. To learn more about your Federation please browse over to http://www.fawco.org.
