The American Women’s Group (AWG) is for American and Anglophone women resident in Languedoc-Roussillon, France. According to our charter, 60% of our membership must be comprised of US citizens (including mothers, daughters and wives of US citizens - regular members); however, associate members, those English speaking women without a US connection, have all the rights of regular members except they may not serve as president or vice-president. Membership is also open to non-residents, at a reduced fee. AWG's Constitution (Word .doc)
Member dues are €45/year and €25/year for non-resident members and for new members joining after 1 January. Your dues paid before 31 December mean that you are a member until the following 30 June.
For the year 2010-2011:
Members receive the Flamingo Forum, our monthly newsletter with details of all forthcoming club activities, and the right to participate in all AWG events, including special interest activities, outings, teas, aperatifs, luncheons and holiday parties. AWG generally subsidizes beverages for the general membership activities.
