 How to become a member of AWGLR?

The American Women’s Group of Languedoc-Roussillon (AWGLR) is for American and Anglophone women mainly living within the region. According to our charter, at least 60% of our membership must be comprised of US citizens (Regular Members), including mothers, daughters and wives of US citizens. English-speaking women without a US connection (Associate Members), have all the rights of regular members except they may not serve as President or Vice-President. Membership is also open to non-residents, at a reduced fee. AWG's Constitution (Word.doc) 

The American Women's Group of Languedoc Roussillon is a non-discriminatory organization.


You want to join AWG ?

Please download the pre-membership form, fill it out and mail it or e-mail it, with an ID photo to awg LR. Details on the pre--membership form. Once we receive your application you will be contacted personally by an AWG member.

Prior to joining prospective members are encouraged to participate in one or two  activities, free of charge.

Members receive The Flamingo Forum, our monthly newsletter, with details of all forthcoming club activities. They may also participate in all AWG events, including special interest activities, outings, teas, apéritifs, luncheons and holiday parties. AWG generally subsidizes beverages for the general membership activities.

 Fees for the Year 2016-2017 :

  • Renewal fees paid after 4th of July Celebration : 50€
  • Renewal fees paid before  the 4 July celebration : 40€. 
  • For non-resident members and for new members joining after 1 March : 25€.
  • New member : membership fees 50€ or 25€ plus  a 5€ application fee.
